After a very successful inaugural outing last year Sydney's exclusive inner-west Small World Festival, an idea brewed up by the folk at Young Henrys, is back with an impressive roster of local talent set to perform in the iconic Sydney Park.
While the festival was held on a block in Marrickville last year, the new location will see an expansion and a natural amphitheatre that will be the platform for headliners The Church as well as reliable Aussie bands such as DZ Deathrays, PVT, Palms, and All Our Exes Live in Texas.
More acts performing on the day include supergroup Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders, a band Ladder has formed with Kirin J Callinan, Laurence Pike, and Donny Benet
The stage will be nestled between the iconic chimneys and brick kilns of the former Bedford Brickworks, an area complete with lush grass, landscaped gardens, and picturesque wetlands. Entry will be off Euston Road in Alexandria.
A celebration that captures the spirit and creativity of Sydney's Inner West, Small World Festival will once again be drawing upon the various talents of local food staples such as Mary's (who drew a queue so monstrously large last year that they had to close service for an hour), Porteno, Bloodwood, Cornersmith, and for the first time this year Black Betty BBQ. Of course, all this tempting food will be complemented with refreshments from Young Henry's.
Music culture presenters Visions have also come on board to curate the opening act at the festival, which will be announced late August.
